10th International Conference
on the Dialogical Self

13 - 16 June, 2018
Braga, Portugal

Welcome to Braga!

It is a pleasure to welcome you to Braga, in the north of Portugal. This is the second time Braga and the University of Minho receives the Dialogical Self Conference. I believe that the 4th Dialogical Conference, twelve years ago, was a memorable experience for most of the people who attended it. I hope you will feel the same about the next conference in June 2018.

Miguel M. Gonçalves

Local Host

About the City

Portugal’s ancient religious capital

Braga dates back to Celtic times and was an important Roman settlement, known in those times as “Braccara Augusta”. The ecclesiastical feel is emphasized by the town's main sites: The ornate Baroque church of Bom Jesus do Monte; 5km outside the center is still an important pilgrimage site; the sprawling Sé in the historic center of town is the oldest cathedral in Portugal; the huge, elaborate, medieval Archbishop's Palace.

A number of historic mansions are scattered around the town often serving as museums, such as the Palácio dos Biscaínhos, which houses a fine art collection.
